While I think This is America is an absolutely fantastic music video and should probably win "Best Music Video" (although I’m Not Racist is also worthy), the song itself is not really deserving of "Song of the year" if you discount that aspect of it, IMO.

Yeah Janelle is definitely worth checking out IMO, and she also effortlessly switches between genres (e.g. hip-hop, soul, etc.). Dirty Computer was a bit more "traditional/mainstream" pop/r&b than...

And yeah I have read that article already. I am not a fan of Malone's music at all, but from everything I have seen and heard about him, he seems like a super swell kid and so that article kind of annoyed me when I read it. We get it, Mr. Weiss... you don't like him, his genre of music or what he and his generation of rap/hip-hop fans represents, but there is no reason to be a shithead about it.
