That's fair. I despise Blur as a band, but have some pretty strong memories associated with Song 2 since it was one of the anthems of my youth... so perhaps that's why this cover struck a chord...

Can I ask you why? I am not a grand fan either, but I've never seen anyone use the word “despise” when talking about Blur.

Dave Rowntree has since cleaned up his life and apologized, which Nardwuar accepted, but it still doesn't change my feelings towards the band.
