What have you been listening to this week?
Hi, I'm covering this week at Whom's request again.
What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something!
Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.
You can make a chart if you use last.fm:

Remember that linking directly to your image will update with your future listening, make sure to reupload to somewhere like imgur if you'd like it to remain what you have at the time of posting.
I've been bingeing on Covet over the past week, a little known instrumental band.
I especially love Falkor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCYVefhsjH0
Covet is awesome!
I like Covet a lot. Here's a few quick recommendations of other bands/artists you might like:
I listen to a lot of this kind of guitar-centric instrumental music, so I'm sure I could recommend more if you're interested.
Oh! Polyphia popped up on the YT Music radio feature after all that Covet bingeing, so now I'm bingeing them. So good!
I'll check out the others, many thanks! I'd appreciate further recommendations :)
Here's a few more to try. Let me know if you like or dislike any of them in particular and I could try to aim towards or away from certain styles:
Thanks again! I enjoyed all of them except for Sithu Aye and Widek.
The tracks you shared from Chon and Sarah Longfield are especially amazing.
The best thing I've heard this week is Lange - Destination Anywhere (trance music). It has some subtle energy that builds up until about 5 minute and then just converts into happiness.
This seems like the perfect track to put in the background while hanging out or just relaxing.
How did you find this song?
When I like a song on Google play music I use so called Radio option that plays similar recommendations. Found many songs by following this chain, including this one.
I've been replaying Italy by Good Posture too much... Came up as a YouTube suggestions to something else, after a couple of times I couldn't get it out of my head.
I was just listening to Green Star Liner by Horslips. A friend put this on a mix tape for me back in the '80s, and it pops up in my head once in a while. I think I'll explore the band a bit more now that the internet is a thing. In ye olden days I didn't learn much about music that came my way, just enjoyed it for what it was. Now I can listen to something from back then and find out where the band was from, who's in it, did the members do anything else, can I hear more, etc. Amazing, and I totally take it for granted most of the time.
Revisiting Doomtree, love All Hands to death. <3
Lo-Fi music on Spotify. I'm really enjoying Homeshake in particular, I would highly recommend their album Fresh Air.
Same here! Can I suggest Timmies and Idealism? I'll take a look at Fresh Air right now :)
Edit: Listened to a few songs (don't have Premium, so couldn't play in order), really enjoyed some of the songs although others, not so much. It seems pretty diverse and I quite liked a few of them. Any other albums or artists you'd recommend?
Seriously sorry for taking so long to respond, but I definitely recommend Louie Zong and Jinsang. I'll check out the two you suggested.
I love reguetón. Even though its not the most complex or family friendly at times. They're just great for singing along and dancing.
This week I've been listening to:
Tanta falta by Bryant Myers
Bryant Myers is usually a trap artist so it genuinely surprised me when I found this track. It's about Bryant missing someone both physically and emotionally and how he doesn't want anyone else except the person he's misses. The chorus is a bit more graphic than the rest of the song, but it isn't really that bad.
¿Cuál es tu plan? by Bad Bunny, ft. PJ Sin Suela and Ñejo
Similarly to Bryant, Bad Bunny is a trap artist, but recently he has been dropping tracks such as this one that are reguetón. This track is a bit NSFW. The chorus just speaks for itself:
"What is your plan?
When you want to just tell me and we'll leave this place.
Nobody has to find out that I put it in.
But baby, what is your plan?"
But the song is worth a listen.
Mia by Bad Bunny and Drake
It's just worth a listen.
Bad Bunny and Drake are singing about how a girl is theirs (romantically). The song is a bit graphic because of the last line of the chorus, but honestly its not that bad.
The chorus gives a general idea:
"Tell them that you're mine, mine
You know that you're mine, mine.
You said it yourself.
While I was doing you"
In an effort to get better (and to use the shit out of my new schecter bass #humblebrag) at commitment and finishing songs, I've been listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers album By The Way so I can learn every song on it. I love how, even in the basslines, you can tell that Frusciante had a big hand in most all of the production of By The Way (I can feel it in Dosed, I Could Die For You, and Bicycle Song), and many of the basslines are very satisfying to pull off consistently. The whole record is a harmony laden, feel good ride.
A song I like quite a bit (although don't know what genre it is) is Helena - Unlike Pluto. I've also been listening to a fair bit of lo-fi, and recently discovered a new favourite artist - Timmies.
I've been listening to Oathbreaker again, they are quite awesome:
