What did you guys think of Better Oblivion Community Center (Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers)'s surprise debut?

Honestly one of my favourite records of the year so far (ha ha).

    I've only listened through it a couple of times so far, but I've been really enjoying it. I never really got into Bright Eyes, but I like Phoebe Bridgers a lot. This album's made me more interested in going back and giving Bright Eyes more of a chance.

      Bridgers is great—loved her in Boygenius. If you like this album, a better entry into Oberst's other projects might be one of his solo/-ish albums; Ruminations and Upside Down Mountain are...

      With Bright Eyes, I'd probably recommend giving one of the twin albums a try; I personally loved Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, but your average person's favourite is usually I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning.

      I'm Wide Awake has some amazing songs—Poison Oak is a heartbreaker. Digital Ash, too, though significantly darker (and more electronic).
