Josh began making YouTube videos in 2007. Ranging from popular to esoteric, local to far flung, and playful to serious, Josh’s videos offer a little something for everyone. Josh also performs regularly with long-time collaborator, Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. Josh’s first full-length solo album, As Good A Place As Any, will be released in April 2019.

Josh is someone I've been following for some time now, and this video popped up in my feed leaving me feeling compelled to share it with you all on ~music. This song is from As Good a Place as Any, his first full-length solo album that is due to release on April 5th, 2019. "Rockaway" definitely has a Paul McCartney feel in composition to me, along with a string section similar to that found in many Nick Drake songs, both artists which he has uploaded cover songs from in the past.

Much of my interest stems from his skill as a guitarist and versatility in regards to range of genres through which he explores on his personal YouTube channel, often with appearances from other musicians I've come to know by way of their collaborations. Along with his personal channel is a secondary YouTube account that offers occasional information regarding technique and recording.

Two solo arrangements I would like to highlight in particular:

EDIT: Just noticed I should have maybe made baroque and pop two separate tags. Perhaps Amarok or someone else can assist in that department.

    EDIT 2: Thanks, @cfabbro.

Gotcha covered. p.s. Really enjoyed this song, too. :)

I like it. Reminds me of something I don't quite remember but feel like I should.
