      Complete opposite for me (and I say that as a huge rap/hip-hop fan). I was never a huge fan of .Paak until Malibu and Yes Lawd! Funky/R&B/Soul .Paak is my favorite....

        It makes for a cool live performance for sure, I just can't stand the record. Venice was a bit weirder so I thought that was pretty cool. His actual standouts for me are his features on Compton...

        Imo he has the potential to be a Nate Dogg-level legendary hook man.

          But I am a bit biased... I hate the vast majority of studio albums (particularly the modern overproduced and pitch corrected ones) and much prefer live, minimalist and acoustic versions of everything. Hence my love of coversongs and live performances.

            I'm almost entirely an album-based listener (I am an RYM user, after all) so yeah, haven't liked the direction he's gone. Definitely agree on being overproduced and too clean. That's all modern...

              Not gonna lie... I have a huge soft spot for Janelle, even her studio albums, as overproduced as they are. The ArchAndroid is one of my all time favorites and I am digging the hell out of Dirty...
