What have you been listening to this week?

What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)

Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

You can make a chart if you use last.fm:

Oh wow, that's such a different and awesome take on a song I know so well! I'll have to keep my eyes open for Australia tours now...

Earfquake for sure I think is one of the best tracks on the album but in terms of my favourite I think it would be a boy is a gun. Something about the beat and the rhythm to it is so nice for me....

my chart this week (NSFW album art)

I've been saying for the last few weeks that I would stop listening to DG, and for the most part that's been true. What this chart doesn't show you is that Cattle Decap was easily 80% of my total listens these past few days.

I've also been listening to Stranger Fruit by Zeal and Ardor basically non stop since someone recommended it in a previous thread. (the band seeks to find out what music would have resulted from African slaves in the US embracing Satan instead of Jesus)

Zeal and Ardor is wonderful. Personally, I think their debut album is stronger, and if you haven't gotten into it I highly recommend it. First day I heard it I listened to it all the way through.

5x5 Lots of art pop, including Kate Bush, AURORA, and Lorde. Also a good bit of Brockhampton and King Gizzard. Those 5 different artist binges almost covered up my rap consumption but not entirely :)

Yeasayer came out with a new album, Erotic Reruns, which is a little more pop-y than their other albums, but nearly every song is still solid. I’m a particular fan of “Blue Skies Dandelions”.

I've been listening to Baby Hotline, some songs from MAHO-Dou, and the things I listen to usually.
