I was just thinking about this song with the Iran-US tensions going on. This song was actually somewhat inspired by the 1979 Iranian revolution, and is mostly about Iran banning "secular influences" after the Islamists took over.
With the events of the past week, and all of the tension of Iranian missiles being launched, important Persian generals being assassinated, and all of this stuff going on in current events made me think about that same sort of early 80s middle east tension replayed all over again.
This song has been playing over and over in my head over the past couple of days so it's kind of coincidental that you happened to post the vid.
I've only recently discovered this track thanks to a YouTube haiku and decided to share. It has a very Madness-ey, very ska-ish feel to it.
