I've pretty much had Tame Impala's new album The Slow Rush on repeat since it came out on the 14th. It's been almost 5 years since he put out Currents and it's definitely been worth the wait.
Favorite songs so far:
Breathe Deeper
It Might Be Time
Just discovered Agar Agar, and omg they are top notch stuff. Their Cardan EP is fantastic.
Also a little bit of The Alan Parsons Project, favorite album is I Robot for sure.
I've been all over the place this week:
Soccer Mommy - For Young Hearts and Collection
Ratboys - GN
Alaskalaska - The Dots - Love this album so much
Dabeull - Intimate Fonk - so fonky
Rainer Maria - Look Now Look Again
Denali - Denali - Underappreciated album I think
Faye Webster - Atlanta Millionaires Club
Always looking for recs if you've got any!
Yeah, Alan Parsons Project is a lot of fun. Good stuff!
Beach Bunny has a debut album come out last week, and I'm a fan. I found them about a month ago (and I think mentioned in one of these friends), so I was pretty ecstatic that my flavor-of-the-month artist came out with something new that's genuinely good.
It actually managed to grab my attention more than Tame Impala's new album. Haven't fully had a chance to absorb that one, but I've liked it on the first few listens. If it's anything like past albums, I'll probably be returning to it frequently.
I've mentioned previously that I really like the podcast Crap from the Past. This week he played "Life is a Rock but the Radio Rolled Me" by Reunion. It's a really silly song from the 70s. I was probably about 3 years old when it came out, so I don't remember hearing it on the radio. But it's an earworm. I kept hearing it in my head for the next day or two.
