I'm finally working back through King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard's catalog. I haven't listened to anything but "Flying Microtonal Banana," and am having a pretty good time. I'm starting at "Infest the Rat's Nest," and currently going through the rest of their 2017 catalog. Gumboot Soup is pretty interesting so far.

I've been listening to Alcest a lot before and after seeing them live last week (they are better live than in album, more punchy). If you don't know Alcest it's one of the band that started the whole blackgaze thing, it's also very original imo (kind of a weird mix).

Edit : This is maybe a better song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN9eWfV1V5M

Lately it's been Seeed's incredible Psycho Piano Interlude. It's much too brief; I wish it was longer, 'cause the tune is really cool. The whole album is good. One of the tracks – Lass Sie Gehn – helped me confirm I'm over the sorrow and depression of previous romantic relationships. (It helps that the track's title translates to "Let Her Go", and the lyrics are about surviving a romantic heartbreak. Somewhat ironic that I discovered Seeed years earlier among tracks of one of said romantic relationship.)

Then it's Placebo's Meds, a dark but amazing piece of music. One of the things that led me to it was the fact that it featured Alison "VV" Mosshart, of The Kills. Their Sour Cherry is one of my previous Songs of the Year list, and other tracks are on regular listening.

Then there's Chai with THIS IS CHAI. It's... quite something. Upbeat, very energetic. I find it difficult to describe, other than stating my feelings on the matter, which are: the track's real good. You might enjoy the album-quality track on Yandex.Music better: the video simply doesn't do it justice, despite originating from the official YouTube channel of the band.

I was listening to the discography of Car Seat Headrest quite a lot. I found out the only album I really like and liked already is Twin Fantasy, which is a real masterpiece. I like both the remade version and the old one. Does anyone know any similar albums per chance?
