The numbers tell a remarkable story: on a typical Friday, fans buy about 47,000 items on Bandcamp, but this past Friday, fans bought nearly 800,000, or $4.3 million worth of music and merch....

If you are interested in dungeon synth, I highly recommend you check out and buy Chaucerian Myth's Canterbury Tales, a classic of the genre. It is not available on other music streaming services.
If you like death metal, the new Blood Incantation is incredible. Great riffs, really uninhibited arrangements.
Occulting Disk by Deathprod. It's nominally electronic ambient music, but it's not accommodating. It's monumental.
Then, there's Fumio Miyashita who intended his music to have healing properties. While he may have failed to break the limitations of science there, he did create really good ambient music that does in fact feel pretty good.
If you're looking for something chill, ((( O ))) is pretty good. I'm picking up her album ((( 0 ))) from Bandcamp. Was planning on grabbing ((( 1 ))), too, but it doesn't seem like the full thing...

Thanks for the bump, deimos. Even though I very much like the music of Khruangbin I use this opportunity to promote The Lizard Bible! He's not only a enthusiastic and fine musician, but also a...

Nice. I recommend Khruangbin.
The numbers tell a remarkable story: on a typical Friday, fans buy about 47,000 items on Bandcamp, but this past Friday, fans bought nearly 800,000, or $4.3 million worth of music and merch. That’s more than 15 times our normal Friday, and at the peak, fans were buying 11 items per second.

Carpenter Brut's Trilogy is a good cinematic synthwave album.

Awfully broad, but Mudeth's work on the Binding of Isaac: Antibirth mod is what made the mod for me.

If you’re into vapor wave, 3D Blast has a whole bunch of stuff that’s great.

Hoo boy, I bought a crap-ton of albums from Bandcamp today and last month. Here's my list:
Brandee Younger - Wax And Wane - Jazz harpist in the mold of Alice Coltrane, with some funk and modern r&b influence
Terraza Big Band - One Day Wonder - progressive big band with a weekly gig in NYC
Daniel Carter, Brad Farberman and Billy Martin - Just Don't Die - improvised live to tape by this avant-jazz-funk trio with Billy Martin of MMW on drums
Mike Clark - Indigo Blue Live At The Iridium Legendary jazz and funk drummer is leader on this live hard bop session with Christian McBride on bass and Donald Harrison on sax
Claire and the Bears - self-titled - alt-country band from Chicago.
Miles Okazaki - Work vol. 1-6 - solo guitar interpretations of the complete compositions of Thelonious Monk.
Sasha Berliner - Azalea - first release as a leader from an up-and-coming jazz vibraphonist
Stonefield - Bent - heavy rock from a quartet of sisters from Australia.
Vic Ruggerio and Simon Chardiet are ... The Mooks!!! - blues with a punk influence from the Rockaways on the edge of NYC. Simon Chardiet has been active in the NYC scene since the '80s.
Tony Allen - NEPA - mid-80s album from the legendary Afrobeat drummer who passed away yesterday.
Drop Collective - Stormin' - jazz/ska ensemble from Barcelona. I caught them live when I was on vacation and they were great. Singer's Spanish accent on the English lyrics is kind of endearing.
Lakecia Benjamin - Pursuance: The Coltranes - tribute to both John and Alice Coltrane from an up and coming saxophonist.
Ian Hendrickson-Smith - Tonight Is Now - long time sax player for Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings with a straight-ahead jazz quartet.
Pat Irwin & J. Walter Hawkes - Wide Open Sky - guitar and trombone duets. Irwin played with the B-52s; Hawkes has played with many NYC jazz groups (including a couple of mine.) Mostly mellow and peaceful.
Danny Gatton - Funhouse - archival release from the late, great master of the Telecaster. Incredible guitar on top of country-influenced jazz.
See ya next month with a few more!
