What have you been listening to this week?
What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)
Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

I've been jamming pretty hard to grunge and 90's rock as of late. Nirvana, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder, to name several. Been feeling pretty malaise as of late given how 2020 is shaping up. The End by Pearl Jam is probably the saddest song I've listened to in a while, Just Breathe (also Pearl Jam) is pretty sad too. Guess that's just the mood.
Is anyone into Mexican music? I have been listening to Tragos Amargos over and over because I was transcribing it to sheet music for piano accordion. Finally got it down and posted, so next I will be playing it over and over until I have a good recording.
I don't know much about this kind of music so I would like to hear about other people's favorites.
ah, shit... you're gonna have a lot of drunk Mexican dudes singing along with that one. Well, if you have any Mexican bars around and play it there. Which reminds me... my uncle's friend has a mariachi band in El Paso and offered to let me join, once. Shoulda took him up...
I don't really listen to the music, much, but a lot of it is familiar via exposure.
Yeah, I'm not into the alcoholism, but I like the accordion intro and the whole thing sounds better with familiarity, or maybe it's Stockholm syndrome setting in?
Before I listened more closely, it was more like "this sounds like typical Mexican music." And now it's, "this is the one song I'm familiar with and like." Other than really old stuff out of an accordion lesson book that I'm not sure people listen to anymore. Are "Chiapencas" and "Cielito Lindo" still a thing?
A lot of Bach and other stuff.
Oh, and released this new track today, which I've bought and listened to.
After the sad news on Wednesday I've been listening to everything Kraftwerk - Die Mensch·Maschine as a random example.
I've also been diving deep into Tor.Ma in Dub again - couple of recent examples:
This Liturgy track has been on repeat. I didn't knew the band, it's quite refreshing.
I've been listening to Elsiane quite a bit lately. Unstable and Mechanics of Emotion are some of my favorites. Discovered ZAND this week, and like their songs Fiends and Freak. I've also been listening to a fair bit of music from Jane Reynolds, of which Jon, the dead husband is probably my favorite.
A lot of Igorrr.
I picked up Moses Boyd and Yusuf Kamaal again.
Also have been listening to a lot of Fela Kuti since I heard Tony Allen left us.
And then there's also this, that popped into my head out of nowhere. And now I'm just hoping I'll forget about it again.
