I can't recommend Bandcamp enough. When you buy music, you can chose to get it digitally and they offer a lot of formats including high quality ones whereas most other sites only allow you to get MP3s. If you're interested, here's a couple of recommendations:

    • Alestorm: Pirate metal band, one of my favourites. If you like sea shanties give them a try.
    • Antti Martikainen: If you like epic video game soundtracks you're likely to enjoy him as well.

I really wanted to spend all day buying and recommending albums, but unfortunately my day job had other plans. This week was so exhausting I didn't even want to listen to music. In the end I only bought one, a very chill folk/country soundtrack from Bruce Langhorne. I never even heard of this before today but a co-worker of mine recommended it and he was spot on.

Yeah, that's happened to me too. So much of importance is going on right now that I just can't get into a music listening, or tv show/movie watching mood. They just feel so frivolous compared to everything else vying for my attention these tumultuous days. Which is why I haven't listened to your latest big dig jazz show yet, BTW... but I do have it bookmarked and still plan to eventually, once all this madness quiets down a bit. :)
