    This was a well performed cover, the guitarist, drummer and singers all did a great job. But... I felt it was performed at a very high technical level but felt very clean. Not saying the sound...

    I felt it was performed at a very high technical level but felt very clean. Not saying the sound wasn't grungy, but felt like it was emotionally sanitized.
    I am sure it is just my interpretation of it. My reaction to the song was "cool", whereas listening to SOAD and Tankian's vocals always gets me amped up.

    Just found it strange that a cover (performed very well) somehow loses to evoke the feelings that the original does.

      Nope. Mine as well. As you stated this was well done on a technical level, but listening to it I felt nothing. Serj has both a unique voice and delivery so that you feel the vocals and that just didn't work with the three vocalists here.
