I recently got into Jacob Collier recently. Heard about him on a video about Jazz harmony. I really appreciate the vocals, though my ear isn't attuned enough to tell that he's not using the 12-note scale - I can just tell that something's different. His music sounds a bit blurry in my opnion, kind of synthy too, if that's the word.

I also started listening to Talib Kweli. Really interesting artist. There's some content to his lyrics which I appreciate. Still deciding. I'll have to listen a bit more. His Ms. Hill song was interesting, as I really appreciated Ms. Lauryn Hill's To Zion Album.

I've also found myself enjoying Strawberry Blonde by Mitski, Groove Machine by Marc Mellits, and The 7th Sense by NCT U. Watch the choreography on that last one.

p.s. Even though I'm not a huge Jacob Collier fan, in terms of his actual music, he clearly knows his shit. E.g.

Thanks for the recommendations! Is there anyone you would recommend in place of Collier? I'm looking for new stuff.

It really depends on what you like most about Collier... If it's his a cappella, then it's hard to beat Pentatonix in that department. If it's his multi-instrumental mashups, you might like Jack...

If it's his multi-instrumental mashups, you might like Jack Conte too, though sadly he doesn't put out new solo music anymore now that he is focused on running Patreon. He does still occasionally put out some stuff with Pomplamoose, the musical duo with his wife, Nataly Dawn, both of whom you might also enjoy.

If it's his jazz/funk/soul fusion, then you can't go wrong with Snarky Puppy or Vulfpeck, IMO.

Anybody who knows me knows that Twin Fantasy is pretty much always in the top 10. That's one of those albums that I just never grow tired of.

Earth 2 is a bit of a surprise to see on here considering that the shortest song is 16 minutes, but it is a "good" drone album and a predecessor to my favoritest album of all time, sunn O)))'s Monoliths & Dimensions.
