Man, I never have my music at hand when I see these questions... I'm trying to exclude songs from actual duos/groups in this list. I figure including something from Outkast or Rodrigo y Gabriela...

I'm trying to exclude songs from actual duos/groups in this list. I figure including something from Outkast or Rodrigo y Gabriela or The Crystal Method is kinda cheating, otherwise we could be here all day.
In instrumental classical music, one very common genre is the duo sonata, which is often for piano plus another instrument. Some of my favourite pretty ones: Ludwig van Beethoven — Violin Sonata...

Get ready for some Broadway, everyone! "What Is This Feeling?" from Wicked "Defying Gravity" generally gets the most attention, and for good reason (what an act break it is!), but this is the song...
"Defying Gravity" generally gets the most attention, and for good reason (what an act break it is!), but this is the song that made me fall in love with Wicked. It's light, fun, campy, and the fact that they sing most the same melody much of the time makes it so that when they do break into harmony, it soars. (Note: the ensemble does enter at in the second half of the song which kind of makes it a non-duet, but I'm including it anyway).
The queer love song of a generation. I'm probably not alone in saying this song was the first time I saw a queer couple portrayed on their own terms and in such a positive light.
This is technically Broadway in that it was eventually made into a Broadway musical, but I prefer the original version from the movie linked here (though I wish the video were the scene from the film instead of an edited montage). Simple and powerful.
Smooth Criminal as covered by 2Cellos is a pretty impressive cover if you've ever wanted to see two cellos go at it in a musical battle.
Pavarotti and James Brown

Some of my favourite pretty ones:
A few that absolutely rip (in several movements):
There's also other duo repertoire, for instance violin–cello:
If we stretch the definition a bit, there are duo concertos, which are just like normal concertos but with two instruments in front of the orchestra:
I have to stop finding recordings before I get carried away!

On a comedy note, I've always liked Let's Duet from Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. It's a tad NSFW.
