What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)

Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

I delved back into a lot of my favorite albums from 2019 last week. Was looking for some more "comfort food" type listening rather than pursuing some new stuff. These are:

Bad Omens - Finding God Before God Finds Me
    Thornhill - The Dark Pool
    Oh, Sleeper - Bloodied, Unbowed
From Sorrow to Serenity - Reclaim
    Desolate - Oyasumi Vol. 1

Most of these are pretty heavy, tougher to get into bands for people who aren't into hadcore/metalcore. But if I had to recommend one above all for a more casual listener, Thornhill's The Dark Pool is much more melodic with a lot more mood and atmospheric type composition than just blood pumping djent.

    Edit: fixing a typo

I've been listening to all of the Paramore discography for the last week or two haha! I never got into their music much back in the day, decided to listen to it all and I've had "All We Know is Falling", "Riot!", and their self titled album on repeat for like five days straight. Good stuff.

Always listening to Snail Mail, can't get enough.

San Cisco has a new album, but I prefer their acoustic/live version of the songs so far (I need to actually listen to the entire album): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN8Sv70qphI

Parcels self titled album is amazing all the way through.

    Jean Tonique - Plage d'or

The Breeders - Last Splash - classic album

Agar Agar - Cardan - Also can't get enough of this EP, it's been in the rotation all year.

Side note, I've been listening to a lot more music on my iPod. Turns out there is a big growing community around modding them, which is hilarious. So I've got mine with like 400GB of storage and a massive battery and bluetooth and everything, it's been amazing.

Those old Paramore albums are a lot of fun. Very catchy, great hooks.
