Alcest's Shelter. It's their more poppy album that doesn't have a very good reputation, but I enjoyed it, there's some catchy tunes.

Nick Shoulders is doing some lovely stuff. Honey Let's Stay In is just fun. Too Old To Dream

The Bagpuss theme (If you know you know, and some days I feel like a saggy old cloth-cat). See also We will wash it

I've been trying to use Youtube's "mix" playlists to try to find new music. They're really hit or miss. Some of them are pretty good at getting me to things I haven't heard before but some of them are just lousy. So, here's a list of some things that are new to me (but are super popular, everyone else seems to have heard these):

    Dune Rats Bullshit
I like of lot of their music but this one is helping me get through the days at the moment.

    The Chats Smoko
They're funny, and that counts for a lot in my book.

    FIDLAR West Coast
Okay, there's a theme here of raucous joy which I guess is me not liking lockdown which is weird because I'm generally loving it. I'm fantastically lazy and being told to STAY AT HOME really plays to my strengths.

    PUP Dark Days
I put these on my MP3 player and plug my headphones in and PLAY LOUD (which worries my hearing aid dispenser and audiologists worry about so I try not to do it for too long[1]) and dance around my flat.

    Remo Drive Yer Killin' Me
I enjoy the changes of pace through this song.

    Skegss Got on my skateboard
I love the guitar tone at about 0:50

Sorry this post is gently chaotic but that's me right now I guess. I'd love suggestions for more raucous joy, especially from less well known bands.

[1] genuinely now, tinnitus fucking sucks and I wish I'd looked after my ears a bit better when I was younger, so I am really careful to limit loud music from headphones because I don't want it getting any worse.
