Well, there goes the last mainstream musicians I gave a damn about.
The thing that I liked so much about Daft Punk was that they were the rare “full package”. They weren’t just a random performer that a record company decided to spend millions on promotion. They were the songwriters, performers, and producers. There was a painstaking amount of detail but in every single decision they put into a single song.
But still, this is a decision that seemed to be a long time coming. The music industry always rewards the best musicians by taking them out of the spotlight and into the producer’s chair. With all of the guest performers on Random Access Memories, it seemed that the writing was already on the wall. I was just hoping that we would get one more full album before it happened.

Maybe the RHCP album will still happen this year, especially with Frusciante rejoining. I really missed his voice on The Getaway. Sucks about Daft Punk, though.

Yeah after watching that, I don't think they are.
