Lately I've been really getting down on some ambient noise/music. Not super clear what the genre nomenclature is here, but I've been bouncing between more background-chill-ambient like Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, and more upfront-loud-ambient like Merzbow and Painjerk (nsfw album art)
While getting down on this ambient stuff, I've been digging around in Spotify and found that a lot of artists I like have made ambient stuff under different monikers, or as a separate project. I really like making playlists on a theme, and I'm going to try and make a "Ambient by artists who don't usually do ambient". Any recommendations are welcome! I'll share it when I'm done :)

He’s an electronic artist who has had a bit of an ambient influence in some of his major works, but wasn’t ever someone who came fully close to the genre (and definitely did a lot of stuff that is very far from it).
His 2019 Between Here and You, however, is a full ambient album.
The new serpentwithfeet album is stupid good
I stumbled into this video about the songs used in The New Order (a Hoi4 mod) when russia unifies (TNO is a nazi victory mod where the nazis win WW2 and Russia collapses into warlordism) and a lot of the songs there are very good, so mostly (more) communist propaganda and other russian songs. My favorites have been:
