Like a youtube comment said: "I need a whole rock album from her know." I'm damn impressed with her voice and this is just a great cover even as a metal fan.

All of her covers are insanely good, she has a really unique voice and we truly do need more of it.

Miley's cover of her godmother's classic, Jolene, is the definitive version as far as I'm concerned. Her voice gives me shivers every time. Cyrus is one of the most consistently interesting people...

Cyrus is one of the most consistently interesting people in modern pop, if you look back over her albums and EPs of the last ten-ish years there's barely a genre she hasn't touched (and done well in!)

That is true. Being born into the industry, being rich and famous will open a lot of doors that are usually closed to most people. But you still have to want to get in touch with those people and do different things with them. Miley could easily have stuck with her clean-pop-country sound and made a great deal of money. But she chose to work with The Flaming Lips, Phantogram, Elton John, Ghostface Killah, Joan Jett and so on.

You mean a rock album in addition to Dead Petz (more psych end of the rock spectrum) and Plastic Hearts (less heavy than this track but still undeniably rocky)? Not that I disagree. I absolutely...

Not that I disagree. I absolutely want to hear Miley do a metal/industrial album.

Gotta admit I'm not well versed in her music but I'll surely check it out now.

Huh, I've known for a while that Miley has serious pipes (have you ever actually listened to just the vocals in Wrecking Ball?), but I'm really blown away by her sound in this recording. It's not poppy at all, she sounds like a young Dolly Parton doing Metallica, which I am here for.
