I've been listening to Faith No More's King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime for the past week. This album is something else! As a bassist, Billy Gould's tone and technique immediately caught my ear in songs like What A Day, King For A Day, and Just A Man. Patton's voice is downright sultry in Evidence. I would list what I think are weaker tracks but it seems like every listen through I find new parts about songs I wasn't super keen on before. Cuckoo for Caca is fucking crazy and I love it. I guess I'm not so keen on Get Out and Ugly In The Morning currently. Very much a 9/10 album for me. Excellent musicianship all around. Love the twisted sounds they make on this album.

I've also been really enjoying the album Gift by Kazusou Oda (aka Coda). You might know him as the vocalist for a few Jojo's Bizarre Adventure openings. This album is great! Some very nice folk/alt rock with beautiful vocals and guitar work. Love the bass on this album, too. The 4th and 5th track (They're in Japanese and unfortunately I cannot read Japanese lol) are standouts. I've yet to figure out how exactly to put into words how these songs sound, but the best word I could use is probably comfy.

Also been checking out Tiny Music...Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop by Stone Temple Pilots. What a surprise! After really only knowing them for their grunge sound on their first two albums, I was very nicely surprised by this one. The intro track is super cool, almost elevator music sounding, with a really cool yet simple bassline. And So I Know is a very surprising track, being heavily bossa nova inspired. Very nice feeling. Some songs on here can get a bit samey, but STP really knows how to write hooks. Ride the Cliche, Adhesive, Trippin On a Hole In a Paper Heart, Seven Caged Tigers, and And So I Know are all standout tracks
