What have you been listening to this week?

What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)

Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

You can make a chart if you use last.fm:

I used to track all of my listening habits on last.fm, then at some point stopped. That said, over the last couple of weeks I’ve been digging through some of the stuff I listened to in the past.

I was on a pretty big “musical diet” for years and made efforts to stray away from electronic music a bit. I’m not sure if this was due to genres evolving and my favorite artists started making different music, or that I had acquired some acoustic instruments for the first time.

Anyways, now that I got the anecdotal stuff out of the way, I found two artists in my old last.fm account that I’ve been digging lately.. “Plaid”, and “Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs” (TEEDS).

Plaid for the complexity of their compositions while still remaining relatively easy to listen to (read: music that helps me focus). TEEDS for the seemingly indifferent attitude to style and genre.

It's by Gareth Coker the same composer that did the Ori and the Blind Forest music along with its sequel. His take on some of the existing League of Legends themes are really interesting.
