Paliscope supporting Swedish National TV4 investigative reporting on the Wagner Group and Rasmus Paludan

Today, Swedish National TV4 released a story about the Russian Wagner Group. The story indicates connections between Rasmus Paludan – responsible for the widely reported burning of the Quran outside of the Turkish Embassy in Sweden – to identified Wagner Group fighters.

The Wagner Group is a designated transnational crime organization responsible for scores of war crimes committed against Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in addition to countries where the Wagner Group is known to be operating.

Swedish Intelligence analysis company Paliscope has acted as the research partner to TV4 in this investigative effort. Paliscope’s participation in this research project runs concurrently with our own efforts to monitor and investigate war crimes undertaken by the Wagner Group in full support and solidarity with our partners in Ukraine.

For over a year, we have used our intelligence analysis platform YOSE to uncover and document the activities of identified Wagner Group fighters in Ukraine, says Rolf Rosenvinge, CEO of Paliscope. He adds that the work undertaken by Paliscope formed the basis that enabled them to offer unique insights to the TV4 team. Our team of in-house analysts have applied their unique skills to process and analyze significant datasets, enabling them to connect the dots between Wagner Group fighters and brutal war crimes they have committed, he continues.

I believe this work is also a great example of how quickly technology evolves and how fast analysis can be advanced when combining open-source intelligence and our analysis software, YOSE. We would never have been able to reach this outcome without our ability to natively translate and transcribe audio in the platform as an example, Rolf Rosenvinge summarizes.

I can't find any English version of the TV4 report though, unfortunately. :(
