Brexit is increasingly becoming a bigger and bigger mess. This outcome was known before this all began, the government didn't have a plan for Brexit before the vote and has been scrambling to come up with one for exactly two years (Vote was held on the 23rd June 2016). They have been too slow and divided and with weak leadership and weak opposition to the current state of the country is in a dire situation. It is increasingly becoming clearer that perhaps nothing/little will be agreed by the time the UK leaves and that we are heading towards a hard Brexit where no deal is met, the EU recently revealed they themselves are now preparing for this outcome.

No matter whether you think in the long run Brexit will be good or bad it's hard to argue that in the short term Britain will be going through huge economic uncertainty which isn't being handled by well by Theresa May. I'm of the feeling the only reason they haven't got rid of her is they are using her as a scapegoat and an excuse for when Brexit inevitably goes horribly wrong. All the shortcomings and failures will be pinned on her rather than the conservative party and than they will bring in some fresh new face to take over and 'fix' the mistakes she made in the hopes of getting re-elected.

I'm in Canada. Canadians have been watching Brexit closely and watching the States - frankly with horror- and it does feel a bit like our two closest international partners are losing their damn minds.

I've been watching Scotland, particularly. Brexit coming so soon after their "nay" independence vote must have stoked some pro-EU/anti-UK sentiments. If I were in the same boat I would feel fairly betrayed, a bit like tripping over a rug and steadying yourself only to have the rug pulled from under you.

      Just one observer's opinion.

The conservatives originally thought they could be anti-EU to win some brownie points with voters, they never expected the referendum to pass. Now they're fucked.

Hard as it is to imagine, the government will be even worse if it’s run by Boris Johnson.

Unfortunately Boris is the best option. It gets worse. Way worse even than Gove or Hunt. Jacob. Rees. Mogg. Boris is bad, Hunt is an absolute cunt and Gove is worse but Rees-Mogg makes my skin...

Boris is bad, Hunt is an absolute cunt and Gove is worse but Rees-Mogg makes my skin crawl in the most disturbing way. He's horrendous.

Hence the payments for the NHS. (Which still aren't enough, and don't include social care and so will mostly get swallowed rather than used properly).
