It would take me some time to dig up the relevant sources, but this ties into the Russian Investigation with Wikileaks and Assange (allegedly) being either compromised or had cooperated/is cooperating with Russian State Intelligence to not only influence/rig/steal/etc the 2016 Presidential Election, but also would provide an avenue for leaked US Intelligence to fall straight into the lap of Putin, putting the lives and security of USPER's and US Assets at risk.

If Wikileaks has indeed been compromised by the GRU or SVR, and especially for how long, then that shines a very specific light on their operation that needs to be considered very carefully.
