    I think the idea of a dummy vote to catch bugs is good. But it also gives blackhats a chance to look at the system, discover bugs that the whitehats might not see and then exploit them when a real vote comes around.

    Switzerland is doing a clever thing by putting on a dummy vote for the test, rather than test on a real vote of any proportion. I presume that during the vote all the regular e-voting systems...

    Switzerland is doing a clever thing by putting on a dummy vote for the test, rather than test on a real vote of any proportion.

    I presume that during the vote all the regular e-voting systems would be engaged, so that it effectively simulates the actual e-voting.
