    I changed the title from "Telcos block access to 4chan, other sites" to the current one as 4chan has been unblocked as said by the article, as well as to clarify why they're blocking certain sites.

    I used to have a major civil libertarian streak that would consider this unacceptable corporate interference, but lately I’m finding it hard to justify not taking the internet more firmly in hand....

    I used to have a major civil libertarian streak that would consider this unacceptable corporate interference, but lately I’m finding it hard to justify not taking the internet more firmly in hand.

    I’ll still miss the free-for-all days before the internet became all-encompassing. But as long as there are malevolent actors taking advantage of freedoms they would not offer to others, I’m now at peace with censoring them to hell and back.
