      Considering ours in CO was a voter-initiated amendment, not a legislature-passed one, that opens up a door of opportunity in those other states that allow voter initiatives/referenda, regardless of their political makeup. Arizona passed a similar law as CO's in 2016 (complete with the $12/hr and indexing thereafter) despite being a much more conservative state, and one where such a bill would stand little to no chance in their legislature.

        well, maryland is basically a trifecta, honestly. democrats have the power to override his veto in both chambers and hogan is a moderate republican to begin with. he can still sorta do stuff, but...

        well, maryland is basically a trifecta, honestly. democrats have the power to override his veto in both chambers and hogan is a moderate republican to begin with. he can still sorta do stuff, but most of what gets done in maryland is dictated by the democratic legislature and that's been the case since hogan took office.
