    This is one the rare cases where the headline seriously undersells the content of the article. It's not even about traveling in fear so much as living in it. CBP has jurisdiction anywhere within 50 miles of a border, and since airports are defined as borders that means they basically have license to operate anywhere but some remote national parks and forests. That they are this flagrantly disrespectful of people's individual rights is bad enough, but the tepid reaction to us slowly becoming a "Papers, please" state is extremely worrying.
