In this unfortunately titled article, Nathan Robinson carefully dissects criticism of social democracy and points out its hyperbolic inconsistencies. He takes great care to lay out and explain the policies and inner debate within socialist circles and how it differs from the simplistic mischaracterisation of its detractors.

I liked this article. I've been noticing the "faux-criticism" of Sanders from the democratic establishment. The podcast, Pod Save America, is a good example not mentioned in the article. It's hosted by former Obama administration officials. They're response to Sander's defense of socialism speech could be summed up as:

      1. They thought his speech was an excellent defense of New Deal policies
      2. They supported nearly everything he said
      3. However, his speech didn't explicitly explain why he calls himself a Democratic Socialist, therefore it wasn't a good speech.

So... it seems that they agree with everything he said but criticize him because he used the S-word.

Oh yes, I totally agree. Pod Save America are doing the exact thing they promised they won't do after the 2016 elections - electability tests. I often find them a little too rambly and a little lacking method. It's almost like listening to a celebrity gossip section. But it is amusing every now and then to listen to people who were in the know back then.
