USDA unveiled Kansas City as its chosen location on June 16, and employees have until Sept. 30 to move there.

I can't think of any better way to alienate a workforce than to tell them they have to move cross-country on short notice.

    Other agencies as well:

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on Tuesday announced its plans to move 323 D.C.-based employees to offices across the West, including a new headquarters in Grand Junction, Colo.

Seems like a canny way for the Trump administration to achieve its goal of "deconstruction of the administrative state" in a way that only requires executive branch action and not Congress.

I just wrote somewhere else that when Mulvaney was defending Acosta, he said he was successfully following their deregulation agenda. I found it quite alarming, especially since his dept had an anti trafficking unit. We can't even keep up with everything they're dismantling quietly in the background while Trump is keeping all eyes on him all the time. They're all horrible people, maybe even worse than trump since they're obviously smarter and far more devious.

This is alarming. What is to stop the administration just deciding to move an agency every six months if they want to disrupt it indefinitely?
