    I used the article's subtitle rather than its less descriptive, or falsely descriptive, main title for the link.

    The core issue presented by the article is quite interesting. My understanding is that despite ongoing growth and strong Chinese presence on the continent, a lot of development in Africa is still dependant on Western aid (and/or Western colonial exploitation, depending on your point of view). But if that aid is directed based on what the article calls an "outdated rural paradigm", how does it affect the continent and its quickly urbanising societies? Also, if the apparently rapid urbanisation is not properly planned, controlled and governed, what sort of cities and social structures will grow as a result?
