    As the article points out, the idea of the USA buying Greenland has been suggested before. It's not like Mr Trump invented this.

    But to cancel a state visit just because Denmark said "no" is extremely childish. That's the act of a 5-year-old who tries to take another child's toy, gets prevented from doing so, and then has a tantrum shouting "You're not my friend any more!"

      I've said it before and will say it again. The fact that we're even talking about this "sale" and Trump is forcing serious politicians to respond to his idiotic ideas is beyond frustrating. I'm sad that a lot of work and money will be wasted in Denmark because of this but actually fucking relived he isn't going anywhere after all. He is a burp in a long rein of American presidents and he doesn't deserve any recognition besides being a bumbling idiot. Denmark just have to pull through and hope no real damage has been done in their relationship to the US because they need the US a lot more than the other way around.

      I know the bar is low here but if you're not from the US this is not far off from the stupidest idea ever. Because it's also insulting, ignorant and just a plain unintelligent thing to say.
