Did a double take on seeing this headline, must be the first time in a long time a B-17 has been in the news. That plane had quite the history - built in 1945, served as a rescue plane for a while, was subjected to 3 nuclear tests, scrapped, rebuilt, crashed the following year, repaired again, flew for history buffs for 30 years, and then crashed for what seems like for good today. Poor plane and poor everyone who died or was injured today. :(

It's a pretty remarkable plane. Definitely a tragic loss of life, but also a loss of important aviation history.
