His campaign just bumped the fundraising deadline for his latest ad buy up a day - they were still 150k short of this week's two million goal. That will be the second time in less than a month that he's raised two million dollars in eight days. His fundraising numbers for the next quarter are on track to give people whiplash. He'll easily beat last quarter's ten million at this rate, and that was a 250% increase over the previous.

The money doesn't lie, and he's gone back down to having a smaller average donation size than Bernie again. Anyone who isn't taking him seriously is kidding themselves at this point. It is definitely time to become 'normal mode' - memes and total search/twitter domination only get you so far.

I fully support him and will vote for him, but I'm also prepared for him to drop after Iowa or super Tuesday if he doesn't do well. At this point I'm cheering for him to be president, but I'll be satisfied if he just sticks it out as long as possible so that his ideas get heard and taken seriously.

I think it's imperative the Democrats learn from 2016 and manage to collect around a candidate when it's getting obvious who'll get the nomination. Sanders staying in the race more than a month after he obviously could not win the nomination was a clear contributing factor to them losing the election.

If the Democrats can't manage being a team this election either, Trump will get reelected. Politics is a team sport. Having teams players gets you wins.

And to get high turnout, they need the whole team to speak to the issues, the same issues in the same way in the months prior to the election.

They need to be a team and to leave personal ambitions behind. The Republicans understand this and win elections this way. It's no coincidence how poorly the Democrats have done in every election since the reelection of Obama.

I absolutely detest this mindset. This isn't team sports, this shouldn't be about "getting wins", it should be about what's best for this country. Yes, right now, it may feel like "getting wins"...

I absolutely detest this mindset. This isn't team sports, this shouldn't be about "getting wins", it should be about what's best for this country. Yes, right now, it may feel like "getting wins" IS what's best for the country, but it normalizes a dangerous attitude where rather than focusing on who's the best pick, we focus on how best to defeat an opponent. Just because the Republicans are playing this incredibly divisive game, it doesn't mean that the Dems should follow their playbook. Did Sanders deciding to stick around for a bit longer contribute to the Dems losing to Trump? Absolutely, but the DNC conspiring against him did more damage than that. I wasn't a Sanders supporter in 2016, but I can definitely see why his supporters, many of whom contributed financially, would feel cheated to find out that "their" team was actively conspiring against their preferred candidate in what was supposed to be a fair match up. I'm of the opinion that Clinton probably would have won the nomination without dirty tactics, but that's beside the point. We should be having open discourse about EVERY candidate, where everyone is ripped apart for their flaws to determine who is most fit to lead the nation. People aren't stupid, Trump spoke to an anxious demographic who felt ignored, and Clinton didn't have a unified message beyond "I'm not Trump" (I'm talking to her messaging in the campaign, not her policy plans).
