Vaping is an instant improvement over cigs for most smokers

The thing is, we don't actually know that. It's assumed, and it makes sense, so a lot of people (including the FDC) thought it was fine. The FDC gave vaping companies a very long time to provide the proof that vaping is safe to consume while allowing them on market in hopes of quenching smoking

However, they never got the proof, and health cases started to pop up, wherein people had straight up died after only vaping use, which is actually worse than cigarettes.

The FDC got plenty of proof. Much of it from Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos. They just choose to ignore it. The British NHS has many resources on how vaping, while not risk free is orders of magnitude...

The British NHS has many resources on how vaping, while not risk free is orders of magnitude better than smoking.

As to the health cases, there are a few related to contaminated Juul pods, but the deaths and overwhelming majority of health related issues that have been connected to vaping have all been traced back to blackmarket THC vaping cartridges and nothing connected to nicotine vaping cartridges or juice (minus the bad Juul pods, of course).

My first exposure to e-cigs was mostly people using them to "stop smoking" but never actually stopping and then some of those people using the technical difference as a means to start vaping in non-smoking areas (including inside the workplace). I respect people's desire to partake of vapes as much as regular cigarettes, weed, alchohol, or anything else but I feel like the whole notion of vapes being anything other than just another substance to use is just not reflective of the reality.

I saw a great meme the other day. It was a pic of a ciggy captioned "New plant-based alternative to help you kick your vape habit."

My only theory is that the regime wants to be in the news for something other than breaking impeachment news or concentration camp and were grasping at straws.

This is a public health issue that maybe will resonate with suburban parents? But then how many of the parents enjoy vape pens you know?

The last time a substance went from as freely available as flavored vape, to illegal, it changed the US Constitution, then changed it right back. I don't see this be any less controversial.

I need somebody to provide a more sourced argument for vape flavors being so widespread and culturally ingrained that this comparison makes sense.

That's an interesting comparison but I don't think it's 100% accurate. Vaping isn't 100% prohibited and there are definitely not as many vapers today as drinkers then. I know like 2 people with...

But I also don't see this change sticking around for very long, either.
