Johnson is the kind of person who uses words like "coon" or "pickaninny" or "letterbox" (about Muslim women) and thinks it's just a light-hearted bit of banter.

Have a SpAd like Cummings was inevitable, and it's clear he's causing some friction even in the nasty parts of the current Conservative party.

It appears that he doesn't think so. John Oliver has done a piece where his research suggests that Johnson has always been that way: exclusionist, isolationist, and manipulative of the public. In one of this earlier interviews, Johnson even openly admits to having had a template for a start of his newspaper column: "Today, Britain stood alone, as...", followed by whatever abhorrent behavior Johnson saw in another action of EU's.

If Last Week Tonight's research is true, Johnson is truly Britain's Trump: repulsive, sleazy, manipulative, and without a sense of morality or ethics, charming his way out of otherwise-damning situations – except Johnson doesn't have the ego that makes Trump do the publicity stunts.
