    A version of the cold war where the US and the URSS are among each other's top trading partners will be interesting to see.

    I also wonder what stance will a US with a more reasonable head of government take on this issue, as relations with China have been souring fast all over the western hemisphere.

      I thought you had mis-typed USSR, but a quick google search showed me URSS is in fact a valid alternate spelling for the Soviet Union[1]. TIL! Thanks!

      Within the Soviet Union itself, "URSS" was the preferred Latin-script abbreviation for the country until World War II, when it was replaced with "USSR".
