We'll be lucky if he gets that much. It will likely be applause, from some people at least

The last sentence in this article is important IMO.

Politico reported that Braddock is a little-known candidate and just filed for his candidacy on Monday.

I don’t know this person. But to me, this just seems like another case of the news hyperventilating about the rantings of a single person.

He should certainly be arrested etc. But sometimes I wonder why I’m reading about it as if it’s national news.

There’s certainly an angle of “speaks to a wider trend”, or “look at what radicalization can lead to” but it seems to me that this person has very little support and the article doesn’t speak to those angles either.

I hope that you’re right. My concern would be whether this tactic (is that a fair label for this despicable behavior?) will be effective in increasing his visibility and likelihood of success as a candidate. Does the attention that it is getting increase or decrease that chance if he is not properly investigated and officially censured for this behavior?
