As a complimentary article, here is a piece from phys.org that argues for collective gravity explaining the trajectory of smaller objects in our Solar system: https://phys.org/news/2018-06-gravity-planet-orbits-detached.html

For anyone interested in this topic, I highly recommend Mike Brown's book "How I Killed Pluto" about how he discovered the dwarf planets beyond Pluto's orbit.

Thank you for the recommendation! I do not own the book, but, for anyone interested, here is a 2011 lecture by Michael Brown that deals with the reclassification of Pluto.

Sigh... Thanks, I wasn't planning on being productive today anyway. ;)

Fascinating subject. I've come across the theory of a ninth planet before. It would be amazing if true. What do you guys think? Is there another planet in our system?

I think there's a very good chance that another planet exists, seems like the best explanation for the observations Michael Brown, Konstantin Batygin, and others have made in the past few years....

I think there's a very good chance that another planet exists, seems like the best explanation for the observations Michael Brown, Konstantin Batygin, and others have made in the past few years. The super long (from a human standpoint) orbital period that they predict also explains why it's taken so long to find it, and how we've been able to explore the Solar system with ever more powerful instrumentation without catching even a glimpse of it—well, until someone decided to look into some weird TNO orbits.
