    The article argues that when communicating about scientific discoveries to the wider public, one should go beyond simply presenting the discoveries alone, and that educating readers about the actual process with which those findings were reached is just as important, if not more so, not only in telling that specific story, but also within the wider context of building trust for and understanding of the scientific process itself, something that has been eroding in recent years. I think that's a really astute observation.

    I debated whether to post this here or at ~enviro, as both would apply. In the end, the article's core argument about us needing new and better narratives to communicate scientific discoveries is, I think, hugely relevant also outside of the specific context of the climate crisis that the article focuses on.
