    I think Deep Look is doing quality stuff in their videos, so I thought I'd post one~ Their macro footage is pretty, and the material manages to find a balance between educational, interesting, and not too technical.

    This is one of their more recent videos, and even though I knew about this generally from my animal behavior class, I didn't know about lucibufagins and how they helped explain this predation.

      Yeah Deep Look is one of the few channels I have the bell notification activated on YouTube for. It’s consistently high quality stuff. Almost all the PBS Digital Studio supported channels are, CrashCourse especially though... It’s one of my absolute favourites.

        Oh yeah, CrashCourse! I rediscovered them recently while studying for the Biology Major Field test. Their bio videos (along with Khan Academy) helped me dredge up all the basics I learned 7 years...

        I hadn't looked at any of their other playlists, and now I think I might :)

      It's interesting; it indicates that the males have a way of identifying the fakers after they've been tricked. My first thought was pheromones (some fireflies identify mates through them alone), but I haven't been able to track down any papers yet that discuss the males' defense mechanism.
