I would love to read any dependable research on this topic. It's a shame that companies are keeping their research private. I've been hearing about terpenes affecting how the high is experienced,...

I would love to read any dependable research on this topic. It's a shame that companies are keeping their research private. I've been hearing about terpenes affecting how the high is experienced, but when the author made the analogy to essential oils that sounded like a red flag.

Personally, I could use the same strain on two different days and get two different reactions. If I'm at peace and not anxious or depressed, weed just makes me enjoy that feeling more. But if I'm anxious, it can at times amplify my anxiety (as an aside, pairing it with mindfulness meditation seems to help).

Point being, it seems difficult to chalk this up to a magic recipe when it seems like so much of the high experience is based on one's mental state.
