It's not very exciting compared to some of the more enthusiastic volcanos out there, and people seem to be standing pretty close (like, tens of metres).
Having a quick glance at the stream, I have no idea what the scale of what I'm looking at is. Anyone able to enlighten me?
In this screengrab there are people. At the bottom of the frame (duh, it's mostly lava), slightly to the right of the centre there are two yellow-ish smudges which in the moving image are much more obviously people in hivis vests. I'd do a little red circle but my gimp install currently isn't booting.
Oh crikey, that's pretty large then! I honestly couldn't work out how big the thing was, and thought it might have just been a moderately-sized hill to begin with!
Looks like it's not very far away at all, but it's the less dangerous sort of eruption so things should be fine.
If I ever get the chance to go back to Iceland I would like the Blue Lagoon to still be there.
