Republicans on the committee called the latest batch of files “old news.”
“It's sad how Democrats are conveniently withholding documents that contain the names of Democratic officials” and “putting politics over victims,” according to Oversight Republicans. “We are releasing them all soon.”
At this point they could release 100GB of incriminating Trump and Epstein videos in crystal clear 4K, and Trump still wouldn’t face any consequences for it. He has made himself untouchable.

I'm curious what the reactions of the MAGA folks in my life to that would be. Most of them see everything Trump does through a mental lens of "our fearless leader, rooting out corruption and doing...

Most of them see everything Trump does through a mental lens of "our fearless leader, rooting out corruption and doing what's best for patriotic Americans", but I also know that they hold very strongly to principles that are completely at odds with what Trump, Epstein, and so many others have done.
Clearly nothing so far has been enough to shatter their picture of him, but I do wonder if that would be enough that they couldn't shrug it off in the same way that they can with "attacks from people who want to take him down".
They've all wanted to see stuff like those files for a long time, so it would certainly be hard for them to ignore what might be in them.
It's actually unreal. I don't think anything will shake their worship of Trump. I still have trouble understanding the support that he has. Most people (well, at least half) see that he is an...

I still have trouble understanding the support that he has. Most people (well, at least half) see that he is an immoral conman who's also kind of dumb and incompetent. And then a lot of people don't notice that, and think the opposite. It's fascinating, in a horrifying way, that so many people don't have basic bullshit detectors and have no ability to judge character or danger.
I guess it's the same people that send their money to TV preachers or think they're getting emails from Johnny Depp who loves them and needs money.
Think about all of the southern men who seem to think that Trump is some kind of hero. He's a whiny rich guy from New York who wears clown makeup and talked a lot about how sexy his daughter is. It just doesn't add up. Propaganda is way more powerful than I thought, and it's depressing.
This is the key. I've only caught a few glimpses of fox "news" over the past few years, but its easy to see how somebody with limited critical thinking skills could get so brainwashed. It is a...

It is a constant barage of blatant lies and propaganda that essentially boils down to "everybody else is evil and all of America's problems are because of liberals and immigrants. They want to take away your freedoms and turn America into a 3rd world country. We want to save it, but we need more power and control to do that."
Cool what are you waiting for?

Unexpected consequences of tariffs: whiteout shortages
I bet they come out and nobody does anything because America's too far beyond the pale

Fake news is all they'd have to say. Such a shame.
For the law perhaps. Even his MAGA base is showing turbulent polling over the Epstein stuff.
