I'll be honest, after blowing the lead like they did last night, the Yankees deserved to lose. They didn't play like a championship team.

That was the biggest defensive meltdown I think I've ever seen in the world series. You can't give a team like the Dodgers that many opportunities.

I have no dog in the race but it's always nice to see the Yankees lose.

As a Blue Jays fan, this is the next best result to the Jays winning the World Series.

As a Padres fan, the best outcome would have been somehow them both losing and we all agreed there was no winner this year.

This, while amusing, I suspect needs context. I have none.

The Yankees' long-time radio announcer John Sterling (seen 10 seconds into the video) ends every Yankees win with an exaggerated call of "The Yankees win! THEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!" David Ortiz is a hall of famer who played for the Yankees' main rival, the Boston Red Sox, and is now an analyst for Fox. He was having fun with Sterling's catch phrase here. Also, a bit of "New York, New York" is in there because it's played in the stadium after every Yankees home win.

Make sure you type it "THEeEeEeEeEeEe YANKEES WIN" like he needs his chair vibrating to do the call. (I'm a Mets fan and extra petty this year.)

Mets fan here too, but not too petty. It was a great and crazy year for us. Although it's always nice to see the Yankees get wrecked.

You're not missing much. David Ortiz played for the Red Sox, they have a storied rivalry with and beat the Yankees while he played there. Also, English is not his first language....
