The Washington Capitals have won their first Stanley Cup by defeating the Las Vegas Golden Knights in a 4-1 series
Final score: 4-3
What a game. Congratulations to the Capitals, the victory was well earned.
Congratulations are also in order for the Golden Knights, who reached the finals in their first year as a team and dominated throughout most of the playoffs.
As a Tampa Bay fan, I'm not particularly thrilled that the Captials won, but I can't help be happy for their fans and players, especially Ovechkin and Holtby. This was overdue, and I'd much rather see an older team without a cup win than a new expansion team.
