I was impressed with England's aerial prowess. While Tunisia learnt early on how to suppress England in open play, they always looked suspect from set pieces which resulted in both England's goals.

I wasn't impressed with the officiating in this game. There were a couple of times that a linesman incorrectly called offside in dangerous moments. I was under the impression that when the linesman isn't certain, they should let the game continue as VAR should pick up any offsides if a goal is scored from the attack. There were also some suspect calls by the referee. I can't remember too many specifics but there were a couple of instances of Tunisia getting very physical in the box and the referee or the VAR officials did not flag it up. Perhaps this is just my bias as an England supporter. However, I did agree with the Tunisia penalty that was given.

An interesting fact I heard from a friend. Harry Kane (2) has now scored more World Cup goals than Wayne Rooney (1).

Also, is it possible for anyone (Admins/Poster) to edit post titles? Harry Kane's name is spelt incorrectly.

There were 1-2 instances of English players being pulled down in the box (the best I can do is this picture) that were very clearly as bad of fouls as the penalty awarded to Tunisia -- the only real substantive difference I saw is that the ball was further away from the player pulled down (say, 10 feet and closing rather than right next to them for the Tunsia)

edit: found a video of the Kane incident

Sorry about the misspelling--rookie mistake. I thought England looked really dangerous off set pieces. I think they should advance, but I'm curious how they will match up against Belgium....

Officiating missed a few calls in the box I thought. Looked like they were playing rugby out there a few times.
