France v Argentina would be a fun matchup. I'm still not sure who the best team out of Europe is. Belgium is looking really strong so far. Spain v Russia would be a pretty big mismatch on paper....

Yeah, I missed the European Worldcup qualifiers and only watched the teams in the Euros and the Confederations cup. I'm really dissapointed with the Germany team, I was expecting much more as they always are contenders but also because they showed really good perfomance in the Confederations cup. So far personally I think its between Spain and Belgium.
As I said before, I just want to see Russia get trashed because I think they don't deserve to be a Worldcup host.
What sudamerican side do you think has perfomed best?

Honestly, no one from the Americas has looked that great besides Mexico. I think Brazil could be the best team, but they need to show up against Serbia and Costa Rica. Colombia was disappointing in their opener. Peru is already done. Uruguay has looked okay against inferior teams (not that you can blame them for having an easy group).
